The fiscal department works closely with all programs and provides fiscal accountability in a sound and cost efficient manner to all funding sources and to the grantee board. The department receives and disburses all funds and maintains fiscal control.
In addition to monitoring and oversight of program budgets, they process all agency bills and payments, required reports, and banking duties. They work closely with all agency and program auditors / monitors and give budgetary advice to program managers.
The department is responsible for procurement of supplies and equipment, and the distribution of those materials. Thorough inventory records are maintained regularly.
The fiscal department is one of the first stops for all new employees and conducts an extensive orientation session. All payroll, including payroll taxes and deductions, is processed through the fiscal department. The fiscal department manages all employee fringe benefits, insurance, sick and vacation leave, and personnel records.
